Smoothseafloor The campaign comes to an end and on the way back a small statistical assessment is needed. The campaign objectives were achieved: TOBI images, recorded over 600 nautical miles (about 1100 km), are of very high quality and provide many answers about the nature of the seabed more than 3 tons of gravel (peridotite, basalt, gabbro and sediments combined) were harvested, and 15 CTDs have reduced many water samples.
Traditional Philatelic appointment (or meeting buffering mail posted on board) and barbecue on the trail helicopter came to conclude this mission.
